Cutter's Must

If the patterns have a double contour, seam allowances are included. If the contour is single, seam allowances are not included. Seam allowances: all seams 1 cm. Hem allowance – 3 cm. Attention! First, print out the paper patterns and lay them out on the fabric width (fabric width can be from 90cm to 150cm) to determine how much material you will need. When stitching pieces, pay attention to the notches - they must match!

  • From main fabric:
    • Back side - 2 pieces
    • Upper front side – 2 pieces
    • Lower front side – 2 pieces
    • Outer front facing – 1 piece
    • Inner back facing – 1 piece
    • Inner front facing – 1 piece
  • From main fabric1:
    • Back center – 2 pieces
    • Front center – 1 piece on fold
  • From lining fabric:
    • Small pocket bag – 2 pieces
    • Large pocket bag – 2 pieces
  • From fusible interlining:
    • Inner back facing – 1 piece
    • Inner front facing – 1 piece

Sewing Instructions

  1. Fuse interlining to the inner facings.
  2. Overlock the center edges of the back separately. Stitch the center edge of the back from the top to the slit mark. Press seam allowances open. Stitch a reinforcing line along the slit 0.2 cm from the edge. Stitch the princess seams of the back, overlock seam allowances and press towards the center.
  3. Fold the small pocket bag and the lower front side right sides together and stitch, inserting the lower of the zipper. Fold the pocket bag to the wrong side and press. Fold the large pocket bag and the upper front side right sides together and stitch, inserting the upper of the zipper. Fold the side up and press. Zip up the zipper and stitch the lower edges of the pocket bag. Overlock seam allowances. Secure the side edges of the pocket bag to the side and princess seams of the front.
  4. Stitch the outer front facing to the center front. Overlock seam allowance and press upwards.
  5. Stitch the princess seams of the front. Overlock seam allowances and press towards the center.
  6. Overlock the left side edges separately. Stitch the left side seam from the zipper mark to the bottom, press seam allowances open, pressing the slit for the zipper. Insert the zipper. Stitch the right side seam, press seam allowances towards the back and overlock.
  7. Stitch the right side seam of the facings, press seam allowances open. Overlock the lower edge. Fold the facing to the skirt right sides together and stitch the upper edge. Topstitch seam allowances to the facing 0.2 cm from the stitching line. Fold the facings to the wrong side, press. Attach seam allowances to the zipper tape. Attach the facing to the princess seams.
  8. Overlock the lower edge of the skirt, press to the wrong side and hem with blind stitches.
