Sewing Instructions
When stitching pieces, pay attention to the notches - they must match!
- Fuse interfacing to two of the yoke pieces (outer yokes).
- On the skirt pieces, form the inverted pleats. Stitch the pleats for 7 cm from the top edge.
- Stitch the skirt pieces to the outer yokes, press seam allowances upwards and overlock.
- Overlock the left side edges separately. Stitch the left side seam from the zipper mark to the bottom, press seam allowances open, pressing the slit for the zipper. Insert the invisible zipper. Stitch the right side seam, press seam allowances towards the back and overlock.
- Stitch the right side seam of the inner yokes, press seam allowances open. Overlock their bottom edge. Place the inner yokes and the skirt right sides together and stitch the top edge. Understitch the seam allowances to the inner yoke 0.2 cm from the seam. Fold the inner yokes to the wrong side and press. Topstitch the inner yoke into the seam of the outer yoke attachment. Sew the side edges of the inner yokes to the zipper tape.
- Overlock the bottom edge of the skirt, press to the wrong side and topstitch.
