Fabric & Materials

Fabric recommendations: dress fabrics made of natural or blended fibers. YOU WILL ALSO NEED: fusible interlining; concealed zipper. IF THE PATTERNS HAVE A DOUBLE CONTOUR, THEN THE PATTERNS INCLUDE SEAM ALLOWANCES; IF THE CONTOUR IS SINGLE, THEN THE PATTERNS DO NOT INCLUDE SEAM ALLOWANCES. SEAM ALLOWANCES: all allowances – 1.0 cm; hem allowance for the garment and sleeve – 2 cm. ATTENTION! FIRST OF ALL, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90cm to 150cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED (do not forget to account for paired and symmetrical details).

ATTENTION! THE MARKINGS ON THE PATTERNS ARE MADE ON THE FACE SIDE.

• From main fabric:
  • Upper back part – 2 pieces
  • Lower back part - 2 pieces
  • Upper front part - 1 piece
  • Lower left front part – 1 piece
  • Lower right front part – 1 piece
  • Flying front part - 1 piece
  • Sleeve - 2 pieces
  • Front neckline facing – 1 piece
  • Back neckline facing – 2 pieces
• From fusible interlining:
  • Back neckline facing - 2 pieces
  • Front neckline facing – 1 piece

Sewing Instructions

WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH!

1. Interface the pieces with fusible interlining. Also interface the allowances at the cut mark to prevent fabric tearing.
2. Stitch the darts on the back pieces. Press the dart depths towards the center. Attach the lower back part to the upper part. Overlock the allowance and press it upwards.
3. Overlock the center back edges separately. Stitch the center back edge from the top to the zipper mark, press the allowance open. Insert the concealed zipper.
4. Overlock the outer edges of the back facing. Place the facings and back right sides together and stitch the neckline edge (start and end stitching exactly at the marked shoulder seam line). Clip the allowances, turn the facing to the wrong side and press.
5. Stitch the darts on the front pieces. Press the waist dart depths towards the center, bust darts - upwards. Overlock the shaped edges of the lower front part separately. Stitch the shaped edge from the top to the cut mark, press the allowances open. Stitch a reinforcing line along the cut 0.2-0.5 from the edge.
6. Place the front facing and front right sides together and stitch the neckline. Clip the allowances, turn the facing to the wrong side and press.
7. Overlock the straight edge of the flying part. Turn along the fold line to the wrong side, place on the front right side up and secure to the front along the side, bottom, and armhole edges.
8. Stitch the shoulder seams, inserting the front pieces between the back and back facing. Press the allowances towards the back and overlock.
9. Stitch the side seams, press the allowances towards the back and overlock.
10. Stitch the sleeve seam. Overlock the allowance and press it towards the back part. Set the sleeve into the armhole. Overlock the allowance and press.
11. Overlock the bottom allowance of the garment and sleeve, fold to the wrong side and topstitch.
