Fabric recommendations: suiting fabrics made from natural or blended fibers. ALSO NEEDED: fusible interfacing; 1 invisible zipper; lining fabric.
CUTTER'S MUST
IF THE PATTERNS HAVE A DOUBLE CONTOUR, SEAM ALLOWANCES ARE INCLUDED. IF THE CONTOUR IS SINGLE, SEAM ALLOWANCES ARE NOT INCLUDED. SEAM ALLOWANCES: all seams 1 cm; hem allowance for the sundress bottom – 2.0 cm; top allowance for the pocket – 3 cm. ATTENTION! FIRST, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90 cm to 150 cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED (do not forget to account for paired and symmetrical pieces). WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH!

- Pocket – 2 pieces
- From lining fabric:
- Upper back part – 2 pieces

- Upper front part – 2 pieces

- From fusible interfacing:
- Back neckline facing – 2 pieces
- Front neckline facing – 2 pieces
- Belt – 1 piece
Lining pieces for the upper part are cut by subtracting the width of the neckline facings.
Sewing Instructions
- Fuse interfacing to the designated pieces.
- Stitch waist darts on the upper back part, press allowances towards the center.
- Stitch darts on the upper front part, trim allowances to 1 cm and press towards the center.
- Stitch shoulder seams of the upper parts. Press allowances open.
- Stitch shoulder seams of the neckline facings. Press allowances open.
- Stitch darts on the upper lining parts. Trim allowances to 1 cm. Press allowances towards the center. Attach the lining to the neckline facings, press allowances towards the facings. Fold the main fabric and lining right sides together and stitch the neckline and armhole edges. Clip allowances, turn pieces right side out and press. Overlap the right front piece over the left and secure at the bottom edge.
- Serge the pocket along the contour, fold the top allowance to the wrong side and topstitch. Press the side and bottom edges to the wrong side. Topstitch the pocket onto the lower front part according to the markings.
- Stitch darts on the lower front and back parts. Press allowances towards the center. Serge the center front edges separately. Stitch the center front edge from the top to the slit mark, press allowances open. Stitch a reinforcing line along the slit 0.5 cm from the edge. Stitch side seams, serge allowances and press towards the back.
- Stitch darts on the lower lining parts of the front and back. Press allowances towards the center.
- Stitch side seams of the lining, serge allowances and press towards the back. Serge the bottom edge of the lining, fold to the wrong side and topstitch.
- Fold the lower part with the lining right sides together, inserting the upper part of the sundress between them. Topstitch the joining allowance to the lining 0.2 – 0.3 cm from the edge. Press the seam.
- Secure the main fabric and lining along the center back seam. Serge the center back seam separately. Stitch the center back seam from the zipper mark to the bottom. Press the center seam allowances open. Insert the zipper.
- Serge one long edge of the belt loop. Fold the serged edges inwards and topstitch along the long sides. Cut the belt loop into 4 pieces. Topstitch the belt loops at the waist level at the darts.
- Serge the hem allowances of the garment, press to the wrong side and topstitch.
- Fold the belt in half lengthwise right sides together and stitch, leaving an opening on the long side for turning. Turn the belt right side out, straighten and press. Close the opening.
