- Sleeve - 2 pieces
- Back neckline facing – 2 pieces
- Front neckline facing – 1 piece
- From fusible interfacing:
- Back neckline facing – 2 pieces
- Front neckline facing – 1 piece
Sewing Instructions
When stitching pieces, pay attention to the notches - they must match!
- Reinforce pieces with fusible interfacing.
- Stitch the princess seams on the back pieces, press seam allowances towards the center and serge. Attach the back skirt to the upper, press seam allowances upwards and serge.
- Serge the center back edges separately. Stitch the center back seam from the zipper mark to the bottom, press seam allowances open. Insert the concealed zipper.
- Form and secure the pleats on the upper front (pleat depths directed from the center). Attach the middle front to the upper, press seam allowances upwards and serge.
- Form and secure the box pleats on the front skirt. Attach the skirt to the middle, press seam allowances upwards and serge.
- Stitch the side and shoulder seams, press seam allowances towards the back and serge.
- Stitch the shoulder seams of the neckline facings, press seam allowances open. Serge the outer edge. Place the facing on the dress right sides together and stitch the neckline edge. Clip seam allowances, turn the facing to the wrong side and press. Secure the facing to the zipper tape.
- Stitch the sleeve seam, press seam allowances towards the back and serge. Set the sleeves into the armhole according to the notches, press seam allowances, serge.
- Serge the hem allowance of the dress bottom and sleeve, press to the wrong side and topstitch.
