Sewing Instructions
- Interface the collar stand with fusible interfacing.
- Stitch the center back seam. Overlock the allowances and press them to the left side.
- Along the upper edge of the front from the mark to the neckline, stitch with loosened upper thread and gather. Attach the cut-on yoke to the front. Overlock the allowance and press it towards the yoke.
- Cut the front in the middle from the neckline to the mark. Clip the front allowance at the corners, stopping 1 mm before the stitching line. Clip the neckline allowance at the mark. Overlock the shaped neckline edges up to the mark. Place the zipper on the right side of the front, face down. Stitch the zipper along both long sides, then turn the zipper to the wrong side. Secure the corner from the wrong side. Topstitch along the zipper 0.5 cm from the edge of the teeth.
- Fold the collar stands right sides together and stitch the short sides and the upper edge, starting and ending the stitching strictly at the marked neckline attachment line. Clip the allowances, trim at the corners.
- Cut a bias binding 4 cm wide and a length equal to the armhole length + 4 cm. Fold the bias binding in half lengthwise, right side out, and press. Place the binding with the armhole edge on the right side, leaving tails, and stitch. Fold the binding to the wrong side, clip the seams, and topstitch along the fold to the main piece. Press the seam.
- Overlock the bottom edge of the garment, press to the wrong side, and topstitch.
- Stitch the side seams, press the allowances towards the back and overlock.
