Sewing Instructions

WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH! ATTENTION! Markings on patterns are made on the right side.

  1. Fuse interfacing to the waistband piece. Fuse the all-in-one facings of the front flying panels.
  2. Stitch darts on the back panel pieces, press seam allowances towards the center. Overlock the center edges of the back panels separately. Stitch the center seam from the zipper mark to the bottom. Insert the concealed zipper.
  3. Overlock the outer edge of the all-in-one facings of the flying panels, press to the wrong side and topstitch.
  4. Stitch darts on the inner panel pieces, press seam allowances towards the center. Overlock the bottom allowance, fold to the wrong side and topstitch.
  5. Place the left panel on the inner panel and secure along the side and upper edges. Place the right flying skirt panel on the left and secure along the side and upper edges.
  6. Stitch side seams, press seam allowances towards the back panel and overlock.
  7. Fold the waistband in half lengthwise, right sides together, and stitch the short side and the extension. Start stitching strictly at the marked line for attaching the waistband to the skirt. At the mark, clip the seam allowances, turn the waistband right side out and press. Attach the outer side of the waistband to the upper edge, turn under the inner side and topstitch into the attachment seam.
  8. Fold the flying waistband in half lengthwise, right sides together, and stitch the long side and one short side. Trim seam allowances at corners, turn the waistband right side out, straighten, and press. Overlock the short edge. Topstitch the flying waistband to the left side of the waistband, positioning its finished side towards the left side seam. Fold the buckle waistband in half lengthwise, right sides together, and stitch the longitudinal edge. Turn right side out and press. Fold in half, insert the buckle and topstitch to the waistband on the left side, folding under the raw edges.
  9. Overlock the bottom edge of the skirt, press to the wrong side and topstitch.
  10. Overlock the buttonhole on the short part of the waistband. Sew on the button corresponding to the buttonhole.
