CUTTER'S MUST
IF THE PATTERNS HAVE A DOUBLE CONTOUR, SEAM ALLOWANCES ARE INCLUDED. IF THE CONTOUR IS SINGLE, SEAM ALLOWANCES ARE NOT INCLUDED. SEAM ALLOWANCES: all seams 1 cm. Hem allowance – 2 cm. ATTENTION! FIRST, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90 cm to 150 cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED. WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH!
- From main fabric 1:
- Back – 2 pieces
- Front – 1 piece on fold
- Waistband – 1 piece
- Cuff – 2 pieces
Sewing Instructions
- Stitch darts on the front piece, if provided by the size. Press dart allowances upwards.
- Overlock the back edges separately. Stitch the center seam from the mark downwards. Press seam allowances open. Insert the zipper.
- Stitch shoulder and side seams. Overlock seam allowances and press towards the back.
- Cut (if not ready-made) a bias binding 4 cm wide and a length equal to the neckline length + 4 cm. Fold the bias binding lengthwise in half, right side out, and press. Place the binding with the neckline edge, right sides together, and stitch. Clip seam allowances. Fold the binding to the wrong side and topstitch along the fold to the main piece. Press the seam.
- Stitch the cuff into a loop, press seam allowances open. Fold the cuff lengthwise in half, right side out, and press. Place the cuff with the wrong side of the sleeve and attach to the lower edge, press and overlock seam allowances. Fold the cuff to the right side and press.
- Overlock the bottom edge of the garment, press to the wrong side, and topstitch.
- Fold the waistband lengthwise in half, right sides together, and stitch along three sides, leaving an opening for turning. Trim seam allowances at corners, turn the waistband right side out, and press. Close the opening.
