Sewing Instructions

WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH!

  1. Fold front pieces right sides together and stitch along the center line from the slit mark to the bottom. Spread the one-piece plackets to different sides and press. Fold under the placket allowances and topstitch from the right side.
  2. Stitch the side and shoulder seams of the upper parts. Overcast allowances and press towards the back.
  3. Cut (if not ready-made) a bias binding 4 cm wide and a length equal to the neckline length + 5cm. Fold the bias binding in half lengthwise, right side out, and press. Place the binding with the neckline edge right sides together and stitch. Clip allowances. Fold the binding to the wrong side and topstitch along the fold to the main piece. Press the seam.
  4. Stitch the side seams of the lower parts. Overcast allowances and press towards the back. Overcast buttonholes according to marks.
  5. Stitch the casing into a loop. Place the casing on the wrong side of the lower blouse part. Secure along the upper edge. Fold the lower edge of the casing inwards and topstitch to the lower part. Stitch the upper and lower parts of the blouse. Overcast allowance. Press the pleat on the upper part along the marked line. Topstitch the front piece from the right side into the seam joining the upper and lower parts, securing the pleat.
  6. Stitch the sleeve seam. Overcast allowance and press towards the back. Set in sleeves into armholes. Overcast allowances and press towards the sleeve.
  7. Overcast the bottom edge of the garment, press to the wrong side and topstitch. Fold the sleeve allowance by 1 cm and press. Fold by 4 cm and topstitch.
  8. Thread the cord through the casing.
