Fabric & Materials
Fabric recommendations: medium stretch knit fabric made of natural or blended fibers in 3 contrasting colors.
CUTTER'S MUST
IF THE PATTERNS HAVE A DOUBLE CONTOUR, THEY INCLUDE SEAM ALLOWANCES. IF THE CONTOUR IS SINGLE, THE PATTERNS DO NOT INCLUDE SEAM ALLOWANCES. SEAM ALLOWANCES: hem allowance, sleeve hem allowance – 2 cm, other seams 0.8 cm. ATTENTION! FIRST, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90 cm to 150 cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED. Sewing Instructions
Tip: Knit fabric pieces are stitched with a special elastic or narrow zigzag stitch. The hem allowance is topstitched with a twin needle or on a coverstitch machine to maintain elasticity. You can also stitch pieces directly on a 3- or 4-thread overlocker.
- Attach the front insert to the left front part. Overlock the allowance and press it down.
- Stitch the right shoulder seam. Overlock the allowance and press it towards the back. Overlock the neckline allowance of the right front part and the back. Fold the allowance inwards and topstitch.
- Stitch the left and right front parts. Overlock the allowance, simultaneously overlocking the left side of the neckline. Stitch the left shoulder seam, overlock the allowance. Fold the allowance of the left neckline part inwards and topstitch.
- Set the sleeves into the open armholes, press and overlock the allowances. Stitch the sleeve seams simultaneously with the side seams, press and overlock the allowances.
- Overlock the bottom edge of the garment and the bottom edge of the sleeve, fold to the wrong side, press and topstitch.
