FABRIC RECOMMENDATIONS: quilted outerwear fabrics made from natural or blended fibers. YOU WILL ALSO NEED: fusible interlining; lining fabric; 3 buttons.

CUTTER'S MUST

IF THE PATTERNS HAVE A DOUBLE CONTOUR, SEAM ALLOWANCES ARE INCLUDED. IF THE CONTOUR IS SINGLE, SEAM ALLOWANCES ARE NOT INCLUDED. SEAM ALLOWANCES: all seams 1cm. ATTENTION! FIRST, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90cm to 150cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED (don't forget to account for paired and symmetrical pieces). WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH!

  • From main fabric:
    • Center back – 2 pieces
    • Side back – 2 pieces
    • Center front - 2 pieces
    • Side front – 2 pieces
    • Front facing — 2 pieces
    • Collar — 4 pieces
    • Back neckline facing – 1 piece
  • From lining fabric:
    • Center back – 2 pieces
    • Side back – 2 pieces
    • Side front – 2 pieces
    • Center front – 2 pieces
    • Pocket bag – 4 pieces
  • FROM FUSIBLE INTERLINING:
    • Front facing — 2 pieces
    • Collar — 2 pieces
    • Back neckline facing – 1 piece

ATTENTION! Lining pieces are cut according to the main fabric patterns, without considering the back neckline facing and front facing.

Sewing Instructions

  1. Fuse interlining to the designated pieces.
  2. Stitch the center back seam, press seam allowances open. Stitch the back princess seams, press seam allowances open.
  3. Fuse interlining to the pocket opening. Attach pocket bags to the front pieces. Stitch the front princess seams, simultaneously enclosing the pocket bag. Clip the seam allowance at the pocket opening, press princess seam allowances open, press the pocket towards the center.
  4. Stitch shoulder and side seams, press seam allowances open.
  5. Stitch the center collar seams, press seam allowances open. Place collars right sides together and stitch the outer edge. Clip seam allowances at curves, trim at corners. Turn the collar right side out, shape, and press. Baste the collar to the vest neckline.
  6. Stitch the lining's back and front princess seams, press seam allowances towards the center of the pieces. Stitch the center back seam, press seam allowances to the left. Attach the back neckline facing and front facings to the lining, press seam allowances towards the main fabric. Stitch shoulder and side seams, leaving an opening in the left side seam.
  7. Place the garment and lining right sides together and stitch along the front edge, neckline, and bottom edge. Clip seam allowances at curves, trim at corners. Turn the vest right side out, shape, and press.
  8. Finish the armhole in two steps through the opening in the side seam: back armhole from shoulder seam to side seam, and front armhole from shoulder seam to side seam. Close the technical opening.
  9. On the front pieces, make buttonholes according to markings. Sew on buttons.
