This versatile skirt pattern is perfect for creating stylish looks for:

  • Professional Settings: Its tailored silhouette and refined design make it ideal for office wear.
  • Smart Casual Outings: Pair it with various tops for sophisticated everyday or weekend ensembles.
  • Evening & Special Events: The distinctive insert offers an opportunity to incorporate luxurious fabrics, elevating it for dressier occasions.

Key Design Features

Silhouette: a sleek, fitted skirt with a straight to gently a-line silhouette, designed to fall around the knee.

Front: Features a striking asymmetric front overlap, creating a diagonal split that reveals a contrasting insert of a different fabric.

Waist: Sits at the natural waist, finished with an enclosed facing for a smooth, clean line.

Back: a clean and classic back with shaping darts for a flattering fit.

Closure: Equipped with a concealed zipper closure at the left side seam for a seamless finish.

Hem: Designed to hit at or just below the knee, offering a refined and versatile length.

Level Of Difficulty

Intermediate. This pattern requires skills in working with facings, installing an invisible zipper, shaping darts, and accurately joining an asymmetric front with a contrasting insert and lining.

Fabric Recommendations

  • Suiting fabrics made from natural or blended fibers
  • Guipure or lace fabric (for the insert)

Additional Supplies

  • Lining fabric
  • Fusible interfacing
  • 1 concealed zipper

Cutter's Must

If the patterns have a double contour, they include seam allowances. If the contour is single, the patterns do not include seam allowances. Seam allowances: Hem allowance on main fabric pieces – 2 cm, hem allowance on lining and guipure insert pieces – 1.5 cm, allowance on the section from the mark to the bottom on the right and left front panels — 1.5 cm, other seams – 1 cm. Attention! First, print out the paper patterns and lay them out on the fabric width (fabric width can be from 90cm to 150cm) to determine how much material you will need. When stitching pieces, pay attention to the notches - they must match! Inscriptions on patterns are on the right side.
