Fabric recommendations: dress fabrics made of natural or blended fibers in contrasting or related colors. YOU ALSO NEED: fusible interlining; concealed zipper; knit fabric for the cuff. IF THE PATTERNS HAVE A DOUBLE CONTOUR, SEAM ALLOWANCES ARE INCLUDED. IF THE CONTOUR IS SINGLE, SEAM ALLOWANCES ARE NOT INCLUDED. SEAM ALLOWANCES: all seams 1 cm; hem allowance for the dress bottom — 2 cm. ATTENTION! FIRST, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90cm to 150cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED (don't forget to account for paired and symmetrical pieces).

  • Back yoke - 2 pieces
  • Front yoke - 1 piece on fold
  • Front neckline facing — 1 piece
  • Back neckline facing — 2 pieces
  • Upper sleeve part – 2 pieces
• From knit fabric:
  • Cuff – 2 pieces
• From fusible interlining:
  • Front neckline facing — 1 piece
  • Back neckline facing — 2 pieces

TIP: The cuff can also be purchased ready-made.

Sewing Instructions

1. Fuse interlining to the designated pieces.
2. Stitch the back yoke to the back, press seam allowances upwards and overcast.
3. Overcast the center back edges separately. Stitch the center back seam from the zipper mark to the bottom, press seam allowances open. Insert the zipper.
4. Stitch the front yoke to the front, press seam allowances upwards and overcast.
5. Stitch shoulder and side seams, press seam allowances towards the back and overcast.
6. Stitch shoulder seams of neckline facings, press seam allowances open. Overcast the outer edge. Place facing with garment right sides together and stitch the neckline edge. Clip seam allowances at curves, turn pieces right side out, smooth, and press. Secure the facing to the main garment at the shoulder seams and zipper tape.
7. Stitch the sleeve seam, press seam allowances towards the back and overcast. Set sleeves into armholes, press seam allowances and overcast.
8. Stitch the cuff into a loop. Fold the cuff in half lengthwise and press. Stitch the cuff to the sleeve, stretching the sleeve. Overcast the seam allowance and press upwards.
9. Overcast the bottom edge of the garment, press to the wrong side and topstitch.
