When To Wear

In wind and light rain in spring and autumn, over a T-shirt or sweatshirt.
For walks and travel with jeans, joggers or leggings.

Key Design Features

Silhouette: Loose, with the waist adjusted by a drawstring.

Length: Mid-thigh.

Collar: Stand collar in the second contrast fabric, interfaced, set between the jacket and the facings.

Front: Front yoke with a contrast insert at the centre front, joined to the lower front.

Closure: Separating zip set between the front and the interfaced front facing.

Sleeves: Long sleeves set into the yokes, seams pressed towards the yokes, with the sleeve seams stitched in one with the side seams.

Back: Back yoke cut on the fold in contrast fabric, lower back cut on the fold.

Waist: A casing stitched to the inside of the front and back along marked lines; the cord comes out through two eyelets on the front and is held by cord stoppers.

Finishing: 3 cm hems on the body and sleeves, held by topstitching.

Lining: Full lining attached to the facings, the hem and the sleeve hems, turned through an opening in the left side seam.

Cutter's Must

If the patterns have a double contour, they include seam allowances. If the contour is single, the patterns do not include seam allowances. Seam allowances: all seams 1 cm. Hem allowance for the bottom edge of the garment and sleeve – 3 cm. Attention! First, print out the paper patterns and lay them out on the fabric width (fabric width can be from 90 cm to 150 cm) to determine how much material you will need (do not forget to account for paired and symmetrical details).

Sewing Instructions

When stitching pieces, pay attention to the notches - they must match!

Fuse interlining to the designated pieces.
Stitch the back yoke to the back. Press seam allowances upwards.
Stitch the front insert to the front yoke. Press seam allowances open. Stitch the upper and lower front parts. Press seam allowances towards the yoke.
Stitch shoulder seams. Press seam allowances open. Stitch sleeves. Press seam allowances towards the yokes. Stitch side seams simultaneously with sleeve seams. Press seam allowances towards the back.
Install eyelets on the front. Place the drawstring casing on the wrong side of the front and back and stitch along the marked lines.
Stitch the outer collar to the neckline. Clip and press seam allowances open.
Stitch shoulder seams of front facings and back facing. Press seam allowances open. Stitch the inner collar stand to the neckline. Clip and press seam allowances open.
Place the front facing on the right side of the front, right side down, and stitch along the front edge, inserting the zipper, simultaneously stitching the collar.
On the lining fabric pieces, stitch seams, leaving an opening in the left side seam.
Secure the neckline and collar attachment allowances. Stitch the lining to the front facings and back facing. Stitch the lower edge of the lining to the lower edge. Stitch the lining to the sleeve hem. Turn right side out through the opening. Close the opening. Thread the cord, install cord stoppers and eyelets. Topstitch along the bottom of the jacket and sleeve hems.
