Cutter's Must

If the patterns have a double contour, seam allowances are included. If the contour is single, seam allowances are not included. Seam allowances: All seams 1 cm. Hem allowance – 4 cm. Attention! First, print out the paper patterns and lay them out on the fabric width (fabric width can be from 90cm to 150cm) to determine how much material you will need.

  • From main fabric:
    • Center back – 1 piece on fold
    • Side back – 2 pieces
    • Side front – 2 pieces
    • Center front – 1 piece on fold
    • Back facing – 1 piece
    • Front facing – 1 piece
  • From fusible interfacing:
    • Back yoke – 1 piece
    • Front yoke – 1 piece

Sewing Instructions

When stitching pieces, pay attention to the notches - they must match!

  1. Fuse interfacing to the yokes.
  2. Stitch the princess seams of the back, press allowances towards the center and overlock.
  3. Overlock the left princess seams of the front separately on each piece. Stitch the left princess seam from the top to the slit mark. Press seam allowances open, pressing the slit. Stitch 0.2 cm from the edge along the slit. Stitch the right princess seams of the front, press allowances towards the center and overlock.
  4. Overlock the left side seams separately on each piece. Stitch the left side seam from the zipper mark to the bottom. Press seam allowances open. Insert the zipper. Stitch the right side seam, press allowances towards the back and overlock.
  5. Stitch the right side seam of the facings, press allowances open. Overlock the lower edge. Place the facing on the skirt right sides together and stitch the upper edge. Topstitch allowances to the facing 0.2 cm from the stitching line. Fold the facing to the wrong side, press. Fold the side edges of the facing and sew to the zipper tape.
  6. Overlock the lower edge of the skirt, press to the wrong side and hem with blind stitches.
