Important Information
Before starting, print the paper pattern pieces and lay them out on the fabric width (fabric width may range from 90 cm to 150 cm) to determine the required amount of material. Do not forget to consider paired and symmetrical pieces.
When sewing, pay attention to the notches — they must match.
Sewing Instructions
- Interface the required pieces with fusible interfacing.
- Stitch the princess seams on the back pieces. Press seam allowances toward the center and finish the edges.
- Finish the center edges of the back separately. Stitch the center back seam from the neckline to the first mark and from the second mark to the hem. Press seam allowances open. Insert the invisible zipper.
- Finish the seam allowance of the built-in facing on the front center panel, press it to the wrong side, and secure along the seam line.
- Finish the outer edge of the neckline facing. Place the facing and the front side panel together, inserting the center front piece between them, and stitch the front seams. Press seam allowances toward the center and finish. Turn the facing to the wrong side, straighten, and press.
- Stitch shoulder seams. Press seam allowances toward the back and finish.
- Place the collar pieces right sides together and stitch along the upper and front edges. Start and finish stitching exactly at the marked attachment line. Clip curves, trim corners, turn right side out, and press.
- Attach the outer collar to the garment, matching notches. Press seam allowances toward the collar. Fold the inner collar edge inward and stitch into the seam.
- Stitch side seams. Press seam allowances toward the back and finish.
- Sew a gathering stitch along the lower edge of the sleeve and gather slightly. Finish sleeve edges separately. Stitch the sleeve seam from the armhole to the slit mark, press seam allowances open. Topstitch the slit at 0.1 cm from the fold. Insert sleeves into armholes, press and finish.
- Place cuff pieces right sides together and stitch side edges. Turn right side out, straighten, and press. Attach the outer cuff to the sleeve. Fold the inner cuff edge inward and stitch into the seam.
- Finish the bottom edge of the garment, press to the wrong side, and stitch.
- Sew buttonholes on the cuffs and attach the buttons.
