Cutter's Must

If the patterns have a double contour, seam allowances are included. If the contour is single, the patterns are without seam allowances. Seam allowances: all seams - 1.0 cm; hem allowance for the garment bottom and sleeve - 2 cm. Attention! First, print out the paper patterns and lay them out on the fabric width (fabric width can be from 90 cm to 150 cm) to determine how much material you will need. When stitching pieces, pay attention to the notches - they must match!

  • From main fabric:
    • Back – 1 piece on fold
    • Front – 1 piece on fold
    • Sleeve – 2 pieces
    • Collar – 1 piece

Tip: Knit fabric pieces are stitched with a special elastic or narrow zigzag stitch. When serging, trim seam allowances to 0.8 cm. The hem allowance is topstitched with a twin needle or on a coverstitch machine to maintain elasticity. You can also stitch pieces directly on a 3- or 4-thread overlock machine.

Sewing Instructions

  1. On the front piece, lay and stitch horizontal pleats, folding the piece wrong side in.
  2. Stitch shoulder and side seams, press allowances towards the back and serge.
  3. Stitch the collar into a loop, fold it in half lengthwise, and attach it to the neckline, stretching it slightly. The seam is located at the left shoulder seam. Serge allowances and press towards the main piece.
  4. Stitch the sleeve seam, press allowances towards the back and serge. Set sleeves into armholes, matching notches, press allowances and serge.
  5. Serge the hem allowance of the bottom and sleeve bottom, fold to the wrong side and topstitch.
