Fabric recommendations: thin wool fabrics. ALSO NEEDED: lining fabric; fusible interfacing; 1 button.

CUTTER'S MUST

IF THE PATTERNS HAVE A DOUBLE CONTOUR, SEAM ALLOWANCES ARE INCLUDED. IF THE CONTOUR IS SINGLE, SEAM ALLOWANCES ARE NOT INCLUDED. SEAM ALLOWANCES: all seams 1.0 cm. ATTENTION! FIRST, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90 cm to 150 cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED (do not forget to account for paired and symmetrical pieces). WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH!

  • From main fabric:
    • Back - 1 piece
    • Front - 2 pieces
    • Collar – 2 pieces
    • Front facing – 2 pieces
    • Back neckline facing – 1 piece
    • Belt – 1 piece on fold
  • From lining fabric:
    • Back - 1 piece
    • Front - 2 pieces

    ATTENTION: front and back pieces from lining are cut without considering the width of the front facings and back neckline facing, respectively.

  • From FUSIBLE interfacing:
    • Collar – 1 piece
    • Front facing – 2 pieces
    • Back neckline facing – 1 piece
    • Belt – 1 piece on fold

Sewing Instructions

  1. Fuse interfacing to the respective pieces.
  2. Fold collar pieces right sides together and stitch along the ends and outer edge. Trim seam allowances at corners, turn collar right side out, straighten and press.
  3. Stitch shoulder seams, press seam allowances open.
  4. Stitch shoulder seams of front facings and back neckline facing, press seam allowances open. Place front facings right sides together with the garment, insert the collar between them and stitch along the front edge and neckline. Clip seam allowances at curves, turn front facings to the wrong side, straighten, press.
  5. Stitch shoulder seams of lining pieces, press seam allowances open. Attach lining to front facings and neckline facing. Stitch the bottom edge of the garment between the marks. Clip seam allowances at curves, turn garment right side out, straighten and press.
  6. Fold the belt piece in half lengthwise, right sides together, and stitch the ends and the section between the marks. Clip seam allowances at marks, turn belt right side out, straighten, press.
  7. Attach the outer side of the belt to the garment, turn the seam allowance of the inner side inwards and topstitch into the seam of the outer side attachment.
  8. On the right side of the belt, make a buttonhole; on the left side, sew on a button.
