CUTTER'S MUST

IF THE PATTERNS HAVE A DOUBLE CONTOUR, SEAM ALLOWANCES ARE INCLUDED. IF THE CONTOUR IS SINGLE, SEAM ALLOWANCES ARE NOT INCLUDED. SEAM ALLOWANCES: All seams 1 cm. Hem allowance for the bottom of the garment – 2 cm. Hem allowance for the bottom of the sleeve – 1.5 cm. ATTENTION! FIRST, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90 cm to 150 cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED. ATTENTION! MARKINGS ON THE PATTERNS ARE MADE ON THE RIGHT SIDE.

  • From main fabric:
    • Upper back part – 2 pieces
    • Central back part – 2 pieces
    • Side back part – 2 pieces
    • Upper left front part – 1 piece
    • Upper right front part – 1 piece
    • Lower right front part – 1 piece
    • Lower left front part – 1 piece
    • Upper sleeve – 2 pieces
    • Lower sleeve – 2 pieces
    • Right facing – 1 piece
    • Left facing – 1 piece
    • Back neckline facing – 1 piece
  • From fusible interfacing:
    • Right facing – 1 piece
    • Left facing – 1 piece
    • Back neckline facing – 1 piece

Sewing Instructions

WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH!

  1. Fuse interfacing to the designated pieces.
  2. Stitch the center seam of the upper back. Overcast the allowance and press to the left side.
  3. Stitch the princess seams of the lower back, press allowances towards the center and overcast. Stitch the center seam of the lower parts. Overcast allowances and press to the left side. Attach the upper back part to the lower, press allowances upwards and overcast.
  4. Along the lower edge of the upper front part, stitch with a loosened upper thread and gather. Stitch the upper and lower front parts, press allowances upwards and overcast.
  5. Stitch the shoulder seams, press allowances towards the back and overcast.
  6. Stitch the side seams, press allowances towards the back and overcast.
  7. Stitch the shoulder seams of the facings and the back neckline facing, press allowances open. Overcast the outer edge.
  8. Cut a bias strip 2.5 cm wide and 20 cm long for the loop closures. Fold the strip in half lengthwise, right sides together, and stitch 0.3 cm from the fold. Trim allowances close to the stitching, turn the strip right side out and straighten the rouleau. Cut into 8 pieces. Adjust loop length. Sew loops onto the right front, with allowances directed towards the edge of the placket.
  9. Place the facings on the garment, right sides together, and stitch the back neckline and front placket edges. Clip allowances at curves, turn facings to the wrong side, straighten, and press.
  10. Overcast the lower edge of the upper sleeve. Press allowance to the wrong side and topstitch. Lay the upper sleeve onto the lower sleeve right sides up and secure along the armscye edges. Stitch the sleeve seam, press allowances towards the back and overcast. Overcast the allowance of the lower sleeve edge, press to the wrong side and topstitch. Set sleeves into armholes, press allowances and overcast.
  11. Press the hem allowance of the garment to the wrong side by 1 cm, then by another 1 cm and topstitch.
  12. Sew buttons onto the left front.
