Fabric & Materials

FABRIC RECOMMENDATIONS: blouse fabrics made of natural or blended fibers, fabric for trim. ALSO NEEDED: fusible interfacing.

CUTTER'S MUST

IF THE PATTERNS HAVE A DOUBLE CONTOUR, SEAM ALLOWANCES ARE INCLUDED. IF THE CONTOUR IS SINGLE, SEAM ALLOWANCES ARE NOT INCLUDED. SEAM ALLOWANCES: all seams 1 cm. Hem allowance – 2 cm. ATTENTION! FIRST, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90cm to 150cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED (do not forget to account for paired and symmetrical pieces). WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH!

  • From main fabric:
    • Back - 1 piece on fold
    • Front – 2 pieces
  • From main fabric 1:
    • Neckline facing – 4 pieces
    • Cuff – 2 pieces
  • From fusible interfacing:
    • Neckline facing — 2 pieces

Sewing Instructions

  1. Fuse interfacing to relevant pieces.
  2. Stitch shoulder seams. Overlock and press allowances towards the back.
  3. Stitch the center seams of the neckline facings in pairs. Press allowances open. Fold the neckline facings right sides together and stitch the outer edge. Clip allowances, turn the inner facing to the wrong side and press.
  4. Place the facing on the main garment and stitch along the front edge and neckline. Clip and overlock allowances at curves. Press allowances towards the main garment.
  5. Stitch side seams simultaneously with sleeve seams. Overlock allowances and press towards the back.
  6. Stitch the cuff into a loop. Press allowances open. Attach the outer side of the cuff to the sleeve, fold the allowance of the inner side of the cuff inwards and topstitch into the seam of the outer cuff attachment.
  7. Overlock the bottom edge of the garment. Press allowances to the wrong side and topstitch.
  8. Join the front edges from the mark to the bottom with blind stitches.
