Fabric recommendations: blouse fabrics made of natural or blended fibers with elastane. ALSO NEEDED: fusible interfacing; concealed zipper.
CUTTER'S MUST
IF THE PATTERNS HAVE A DOUBLE CONTOUR, SEAM ALLOWANCES ARE INCLUDED. IF THE CONTOUR IS SINGLE, SEAM ALLOWANCES ARE NOT INCLUDED. SEAM ALLOWANCES: Hem allowance – 2 cm; other seams – 1 cm. ATTENTION! FIRST, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90 cm to 150 cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED (do not forget to account for paired and symmetrical pieces).
- From main fabric:
- Center back part - 1 piece on fold
- Side back part - 2 pieces
- Side front part – 2 pieces
- Center front part - 1 piece on fold
- Sleeve – 2 pieces
- Back neckline facing — 1 piece
- From fusible interfacing:
- Back neckline facing — 1 piece
Sewing Instructions
WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH!
- Fuse interfacing to the designated pieces.
- Stitch the princess seams of the back and front, press seam allowances towards the center of the pieces and serge.
- Serge the outer edge of the back neckline facing. Place the facing and back right sides together and stitch the neckline edge (start and end the stitch exactly at the marked shoulder seam line). Clip seam allowances, turn the facing to the wrong side and press.
- Serge the outer edge of the integrated front neckline facing. Fold the facing to the wrong side, secure it at the shoulder edges with the main garment.
- Stitch the shoulder edges, inserting the front between the back and the back facing. Press seam allowance towards the back, serge. Turn pieces to the right side, straighten, press.
- Serge the left side edges separately. Stitch the left side seam from the armhole to the first mark and from the second mark to the hem, press seam allowances open. Insert the zipper. Stitch the right side seam, press seam allowances towards the back and serge.
- Serge the hem allowance of the sleeve, press to the wrong side and topstitch. Stitch the sleeve seam, press seam allowances and serge. Set sleeves into armholes, press seam allowances and serge.
- Serge the hem of the garment, press to the wrong side and topstitch.
