FABRIC RECOMMENDATIONS: blouse fabrics made of natural or blended fibers with elastane. YOU ALSO NEED: fusible interfacing; 4 buttons.
CUTTER'S MUST
IF THE PATTERNS HAVE A DOUBLE CONTOUR, THEN THE PATTERNS INCLUDE SEAM ALLOWANCES. IF THE CONTOUR IS SINGLE, THEN THE PATTERNS DO NOT INCLUDE SEAM ALLOWANCES. SEAM ALLOWANCES: All seams 1 cm. Hem allowance for the bottom of the garment and sleeve hem – 2.0 cm. ATTENTION! FIRST OF ALL, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90 cm to 150 cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED (do not forget to account for paired and symmetrical pieces). WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH!
- From main fabric:
- Center back – 2 pieces
- Side back – 2 pieces
- Center front – 2 pieces
- Side front – 2 pieces
- Sleeve – 2 pieces
- Collar stand – 2 pieces
- Front facing – 2 pieces
- Back neckline facing – 1 piece
- From fusible interfacing:
- Collar stand – 1 piece
- Front facing – 2 pieces
- Back neckline facing – 1 piece
Sewing Instructions
- Fuse interfacing to the designated pieces.
- Stitch the back princess seams, press allowances towards the center and overcast. Stitch the center back seam, press allowances to the left side and overcast.
- Stitch the front princess seams, press allowances towards the center and overcast.
- Stitch the side and shoulder seams, press allowances towards the back and overcast.
- Place the collar stand pieces right sides together and stitch along the ends and outer edge. Clip allowances at curves, trim at corners. Turn the collar stand right side out, shape, and press. Attach the collar stand to the neckline.
- Stitch the shoulder seams of the front facings and back neckline facing, press allowances open. Overcast the outer edge. Place the front facings to the garment right sides together and stitch along the front edges and neckline edge (the collar stand is positioned between the facing and the main garment). Clip allowances at curves, trim at corners, turn pieces right side out, shape, and press. Topstitch along the front edge and lapel at 0.2 – 0.5 cm.
- Stitch the sleeve seam, press allowances towards the back and overcast. Set sleeves into armholes matching notches.
- Overcast the hem allowance of the garment and sleeve, press to the wrong side and topstitch.
- On the right front, make buttonholes, on the left – sew on buttons.
