Fabric & Materials

FABRIC RECOMMENDATIONS: blouse fabrics made of natural or blended fibers. YOU WILL ALSO NEED: fusible interfacing, 5 buttons. IF THE PATTERNS HAVE A DOUBLE CONTOUR, THE PATTERNS INCLUDE SEAM ALLOWANCES; IF THE CONTOUR IS SINGLE, THE PATTERNS DO NOT INCLUDE SEAM ALLOWANCES. SEAM ALLOWANCES: all seams 1 cm. Hem allowance for the bottom of the garment – 2 cm. ATTENTION! FIRST OF ALL, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90 cm to 150 cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED. WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH!

CUTTER'S MUST

  • From main fabric:
    • Back – 2 pieces
    • Front – 2 pieces
    • Sleeve – 2 pieces
    • Cuff – 4 pieces
    • Front facing – 2 pieces
    • Back neckline facing – 1 piece
  • From fusible interfacing:
    • Front facing – 2 pieces
    • Back neckline facing – 1 piece
    • Cuff – 2 pieces

Sewing Instructions

  1. Fuse interfacing to the designated pieces.
  2. Stitch darts on back and front pieces, press waist dart allowances towards the center, bust darts upwards. Stitch the center back seam, press allowances to the left side and overcast.
  3. Stitch side and shoulder seams, press allowances towards the back and overcast.
  4. Stitch shoulder seams of front facings and back neckline facing, press allowances open. Overcast the outer edge. Place front facings with the garment right sides together and stitch the front edges and the back neckline edge. Clip allowances at curves, trim at corners, turn front facings with facing to the wrong side, straighten, press. Secure to the garment at shoulder seams.
  5. Stitch the sleeve seam, press allowances towards the back and overcast. Set sleeves into armholes, press allowances and overcast.
  6. Place cuff pieces right sides together and stitch the outer edge. Clip allowances at curves, turn the piece to the right side, straighten, press. Attach the cuff to the bottom of the sleeve, placing pieces right sides together. Press allowances towards the sleeve, overcast.
  7. Overcast the hem allowance of the garment, press to the wrong side and topstitch.
  8. On the right front, overcast buttonholes, on the left front, sew on buttons.
