FABRIC RECOMMENDATIONS: blouse fabrics made of natural or blended fibers. YOU ALSO NEED: a concealed zipper; elastic tape 1 cm wide; 5 buttons. IF THE PATTERNS HAVE A DOUBLE CONTOUR, THE PATTERNS INCLUDE SEAM ALLOWANCES. IF THE CONTOUR IS SINGLE, THE PATTERNS DO NOT INCLUDE SEAM ALLOWANCES. SEAM ALLOWANCES: all seams 1 cm. Hem allowance for the bottom edge of the garment – 2.0 cm. Hem allowance for the bottom edge of the sleeve - 1.5 cm. Hem allowance for the top edge of the sleeve, placket, upper central back part, and front part – 1.5 cm. ATTENTION! FIRST OF ALL, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90 cm to 150 cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED (do not forget to account for paired and symmetrical details).
CUTTER'S MUST
- From main fabric:
- Upper central back part – 1 piece with fold
- Lower central back part - 1 piece with fold
- Upper side back part – 2 pieces
- Lower side back part – 2 pieces
- Lower side front part – 2 pieces
- Upper side front part – 2 pieces
- Upper central front part – 1 piece with fold
- Lower central front part – 1 piece with fold
- Sleeve – 2 pieces
- Placket – 1 piece
Sewing Instructions
WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH!
- Stitch the contoured edges of the upper and lower back parts, press allowances towards the center and overcast. Stitch the lower and upper back parts, press allowances upwards and overcast.
- Stitch the contoured edges of the upper and lower front parts, press allowances towards the center and overcast. Stitch the lower and upper front parts, press allowances upwards and overcast.
- Press the allowances of the longitudinal edges of the placket to the wrong side. Place the placket on the front part according to the markings and topstitch.
- Attach the sleeve to the back, press allowances towards the sleeve and overcast. Attach the sleeve to the front, press allowances towards the sleeve and overcast.
- Overcast the upper edge of the garment, press to the wrong side and topstitch, leaving unstitched sections on the sleeves. Cut two pieces of elastic tape, place under the upper allowance of the sleeve, secure and topstitch the allowance to the sleeve.
- Overcast the edges of the left sleeve and the left side seam separately. Stitch the sleeve seam and side seam from the bottom of the sleeve to the mark, press allowances open. Insert the zipper (zipper pull is at the bottom). Stitch the right sleeve seam simultaneously with the side seam, press allowances towards the back and overcast.
- Overcast the bottom edge of the sleeve, press to the wrong side and topstitch, forming a casing. Thread elastic tape through the casing, secure.
- Overcast the bottom edge of the garment, press to the wrong side and topstitch.
- Sew buttons on the placket.
