Sewing Instructions

1. Fuse the visor and band with FUSIBLE INTERFACING.
2. Stitch the crown gussets in sets of three, right sides together. Topstitch the seams 0.2 cm from the seam. Stitch the center seam, aligning the gussets precisely in the center. Topstitch the seam.
3. Stitch the LINING pieces similarly to the main pieces. Insert the LINING into the crown, aligning the LINING and main seams. Fold the bottom edge of the main fabric and LINING inwards and topstitch 0.2 cm from the edge.
4. Place the visor pieces right sides together and stitch along the outer contour. Trim the SEAM ALLOWANCES close to the seam. Turn the visor right side out, baste the seam, and press. Topstitch the visor with parallel rows of stitching 0.5 cm apart. Trim the inner edge of the visor.
5. Stitch the band into a ring, press the seam open. Fold the band in half lengthwise, wrong sides together, fold the edges (each separately) and baste.
6. Insert the visor into the band, aligning the centers. Baste the visor and baste the edge of the band. Topstitch the band with parallel rows of stitching. Place the first row 0.2 cm from the edge, catching the visor. The distance between rows is 0.5 cm.
7. Place the band and crown right sides together, baste, distributing the ease evenly, and stitch. Remove basting threads.
8. Cover the button with fabric and sew it to the center of the crown.
