Sewing Instructions

  1. Fuse the fabric pieces of the visor, nape protector, and ear flaps with FUSIBLE INTERFACING.
  2. Place the middle parts right sides together, stitch, and press the seam open. Attach the side parts to the middle part, press the seams open.
  3. Place the strap pieces right sides together and stitch around. Trim excess fabric at the corners, turn the straps right side out, straighten, and press. Stitch two decorative lines along the edge of the straps.
  4. Press the edges of the fabric visor, nape protector, and ear flap pieces to the wrong side. Sew the straps for fastening to the middle of the fabric ear flap pieces. Place the corresponding fur and fabric pieces of the visor, nape protector, and ear flaps right sides together and sew with basting stitches, slightly easing the fur pieces, especially on rounded sections. The edges and centers of the fur and fabric pieces should match.
  5. Turn the visor, nape protector, and ear flaps right side out. Baste, ensuring that the fur evenly wraps around the fabric and the fur edge is consistent in width. The pieces should be symmetrical. Secure the visor, nape protector, and ear flap pieces with frequent stitches along the edge.
  6. Place the cap crown with the visor, nape protector, and ear flaps right sides together and stitch, evenly distributing the ease along the entire length of the crown or placing it only at the front under the visor. Fold the visor, nape protector, and ear flap pieces down and stitch at a distance of 0.4 – 0.5 cm from the stitching line.
  7. Place the LINING and synthetic padding pieces together and quilt with parallel stitches forming diamonds. The distance between stitches is 2 cm. Stitch the LINING pieces similarly to the main fabric pieces. Press the seams open.
  8. Insert the LINING into the cap so that it fits snugly against the top, secure with pins in several places, fold under the edge of the LINING, and sew with frequent blind stitches.
  9. Fold the visor up and attach it to the crown, without pulling the thread too tightly. Try the cap on, determine the placement of the snaps, and attach the snaps.
