Additional Supplies

- Elastic tape, 4.5cm wide, for the waistband

Cutter's Must
- Main fabric:
- Front pant half - 2 pieces
- Back pant half - 2 pieces
- Front insert - 2 pieces
- Back insert - 2 pieces
- Waistband - 1 piece
- Pocket bag - 4 pieces
- Side - 2 pieces
Cut bias strips 3.5cm wide from the main fabric for making piping. The length of the strips depends on the length of the piping. Attention! After making the piping, a 1 cm seam allowance must remain. Otherwise, adjust the width of the cut strips yourself.
- Lining:
- Front pant half - 2 pieces
- Back pant half - 2 pieces
Sewing Instructions
- Pockets with cut-off side. Fuse interfacing to the pocket opening edge on the pocket bag. Stitch the pocket bags along the pocket opening and turn to the right side. Topstitch the pocket opening. Place the pocket bags on the side along the alignment line and stitch all pieces to the front pant half. Topstitch the seam.
- Making piping. Stitch the strips together, press the seams open. Fold the resulting strip in half, insert the cord inside and stitch along the contour of the cord.
- Assembly of the main garment. Attach the side inserts to the front and back halves, inserting the piping. Stitch the side seams. Topstitch. Stitch the center seams. Topstitch on the left half.
- Waistband. Mark the elastic topstitching lines on the waistband. Between the topstitching lines, at the level of the center seam of the front pant half, punch 2 eyelets for the cord. The distance between the eyelets is 8cm. Stitch the waistband and elastic tape into a loop separately. Insert the elastic tape into the waistband, stretch to the length of the waistband and make 2 decorative topstitches. Attach the waistband to the pants, catching the elastic in the seam.
- Lining. Stitch the side and center seams of the pant lining. Attach the lining to the pant waistband.
- Install eyelets at the bottom hem according to the markings. Press up the bottom hem, folding 1cm first, then 3.5cm.
- Stitch the inseam edges of the main garment and lining.
- Topstitch the bottom hem.
- Press the finished pants.
- Insert the cord into the waistband and the bottom of the pants.
