V-Neck T-Shirt Angular Front Insert

Pattern #6108
Tech. Description

CUTTER'S MUST

  • MAIN FABRIC:
  • UPPER FRONT PANEL - 1 QTY
  • LOWER FRONT PANEL - 1 QTY
  • LARGE FRONT INSERT - 1 QTY
  • SMALL FRONT INSERT - 1 QTY
  • BACK PANEL - 1 QTY
  • SLEEVE - 2 QTY
  • COLLAR - 1 QTY

TIP: To ensure the material remains stretchy in the areas of finished seams, stitch the cut pieces with a narrow zigzag or a special stretchy stitch. To keep the bottom edge stretchy, the hem should be overlocked with an overlock stitch, and then stitched using a twin needle. The same applies to finishing other edges of the garment that should not lose elasticity. These recommendations do not apply to industrial production.

Sewing Instructions

  1. ASSEMBLE THE TOP. Stitch the FRONT PANEL from its component parts (see illustration). Stitch the shoulder SEAM ALLOWANCES. Set the SLEEVES into the open armhole. Topstitch the setting seam along the armhole. Stitch the side seams and the SLEEVE seams.
  2. Fold the COLLAR in half lengthwise and stitch into a loop. Set the COLLAR into the neckline, stretching the COLLAR edge and positioning the COLLAR seam at the center front. Topstitch the COLLAR setting seam with a STRETCHY stitch.
  3. Overlock and press up the hem of the bottom and SLEEVES. Topstitch the bottom of the garment and the bottom of the SLEEVES.
  4. Press the finished t-shirt.
