  • 2. Lower BACK PANEL – 1 QTY on fold
  • 3. Upper FRONT PANEL – 2 QTY
  • 4. Lower FRONT PANEL – 1 QTY on fold
  • 5. COLLAR – 2 QTY
  • 6. Belt – 1 QTY
  • 7. SLEEVE – 2 QTY
  • Tip: Cut pieces from knit fabrics are sewn with a special elastic or narrow zigzag stitch. When serging, trim SEAM ALLOWANCES to 0.8 cm. The hem allowance is topstitched with a twin needle to maintain elasticity. You can also sew the pieces directly on a 3- or 4-thread overlock machine.

Sewing Instructions

  1. Fuse FUSIBLE INTERFACING to the upper COLLAR.
  2. On the FRONT PANEL pieces, lay and stitch the pleats along the marked lines. Near the NOTCH on the neckline, clip the SEAM ALLOWANCE, serge the seam area from the NOTCH to the bottom, turn inwards and topstitch.
  3. Stitch the center back seam of the BACK PANEL. Serge and press the seam open.
  4. Stitch the shoulder seams, press the SEAM ALLOWANCES towards the BACK PANEL and serge.
  5. Stitch the ends and outer edge of the COLLAR, starting and ending the stitch strictly at the marked COLLAR attachment seam line. Turn the COLLAR right side out and press. Attach the upper COLLAR to the neckline. Turn the SEAM ALLOWANCE of the lower COLLAR inwards and topstitch into the upper COLLAR attachment seam.
  6. Attach the lower BACK PANEL to the upper BACK PANEL, press the SEAM ALLOWANCES downwards and serge.
  7. Overlap the right FRONT PANEL onto the left, aligning the pleats closer to the side seam. Attach the lower FRONT PANEL to the upper FRONT PANEL. Press the SEAM ALLOWANCES downwards and serge.
  8. Stitch the side seams of the BACK PANEL and FRONT PANEL. Serge and press the seams towards the BACK PANEL.
  9. Stitch the SLEEVE seams. Serge and press the seams.
  10. Set the SLEEVES into the armholes, aligning the NOTCHES. Serge and press the seams.
  11. Serge the bottom edge of the garment and the bottom edge of the SLEEVE. Fold to the wrong side, press and topstitch.
  12. Fold the belt pieces in half lengthwise, right sides together, and stitch, leaving a 15 cm opening on the long side. Turn the pieces right side out and press. Stitch the opening closed. Attach the belt to the left side seam.
