Cap Shoulder V-Neck Dress with Front Tabs

IF THE PATTERNS HAVE A DOUBLE CONTOUR, SEAM ALLOWANCES ARE INCLUDED. IF THE CONTOUR IS SINGLE, SEAM ALLOWANCES ARE NOT INCLUDED. SEAM ALLOWANCES: all seams 1 cm. Hem allowance 2 cm. ATTENTION! FIRST, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90 cm to 150 cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED (do not forget to account for paired and symmetrical details). WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH!

• From main fabric:
  • Center back – 2 pieces
  • Side back – 2 pieces
  • Front – 2 pieces
  • Strap – 2 pieces
  • Tab – 2 pieces
  • Back facing – 2 pieces
  • Front facing – 1 piece
  • Armhole facing – 2 pieces
• FROM FUSIBLE INTERFACING: tabs, back facings, front facing, armhole facings.

Sewing Instructions

1. Fuse interfacing to the tab and facing pieces.
2. Stitch bust and waist darts on the front pieces. Press bust darts down, waist darts towards the center front.
3. Stitch darts on the back. Press darts towards the center back. Stitch the center back seam and the upper vent seam. The seam is made from the notch for the zipper downwards. Notch the seam at the beginning of the vent. Press the center seam open, press the vent to the left back piece. Overlock the center back seam and the vent sides. Insert the zipper. Topstitch along the upper edge of the vent.
4. Attach the side back piece to the front. Overlock the seam and press towards the back. Stitch the center front seam. Overlock the seam and press open.
5. Overlock the lower edges of the back, armhole, and front facings. Place the back, armhole, and front facings right sides together with the main pieces and stitch the corresponding edges. Turn the facings to the wrong side and press.
6. On the strap, overlock the edge "to the neckline", fold under and topstitch.
7. Attach the side back piece to the center back piece from the notch downwards. Attach the strap to the back along the shoulder seam. Overlock the seam and press towards the center back. Overlock the strap edge, the armhole section on the back, and the back princess seam with one seam. Press the seam towards the center back and topstitch up to the princess seam. Topstitch the neckline allowance of the back to the facing at a distance of 0.2 cm from the seam. Turn the facing to the wrong side and press. Attach the center edge of the facing to the zipper allowance, the shoulder edge of the facing - to the shoulder seam.
8. On the strap, make a pleat along the marked line. Attach the strap to the front. Overlock the seam and press towards the front. Secure the armhole and front facings to the strap attachment seams.
9. Press the hem allowance to the wrong side, fold under and topstitch.
10. Fold the tabs in half lengthwise, right sides together, and stitch along two sides. Turn the tabs right side out and press. Fold the raw edge inwards and topstitch around the perimeter of the tab 0.5 cm from the edge. Attach the tabs to the dress along the marked lines and sew on buttons.
