Sewing Instructions
- Sew the front princess seams.
- Welt pockets. Fold both bias FACINGS of each pocket with the FRONT PANEL, right sides together, pin along the marked pocket opening line and stitch along the marked stitching lines, aligning the longitudinal edges of the FACINGS exactly with the pocket opening line.
- Cut the FRONT PANEL lengthwise between the stitches, diagonally towards the front ends of the stitches. Be careful not to damage the FACINGS!
- Press the SEAM ALLOWANCES open. Turn the FACINGS, enclosing the SEAM ALLOWANCES, through the slit to the wrong side and baste.
- From the right side, stitch exactly into the stitching lines of the FACINGS.
- Turn the small triangle at the front end of the slit to the wrong side and topstitch onto the FACINGS exactly from the end of one stitch to the end of the other.
- Join the folds of the FACINGS with a velvet stitch.
- From the wrong side of the jacket, stitch the pocket bags: the LINING pocket bag - to the SEAM ALLOWANCES of the lower FACING, the main fabric pocket bag - to the SEAM ALLOWANCES of the upper FACING.
- Press the pocket bags downwards, trim, equalize, and stitch.
- Sew the back princess seams, side seams, and shoulder seams.
- When sewing the side seams, do not catch the side edges of the pocket bags.
- Two-piece SLEEVES. Sew the SLEEVE seam. Hem the SLEEVE. Press the vent edges.
- From the wrong side of the SLEEVE, stitch the longitudinal and upper short transverse edges of the integrated vent FACING and the vent allowance.
- Sew small buttons onto the SLEEVE, catching the vent allowance.
- Set in the SLEEVES, easing the cap.
- To the SEAM ALLOWANCES of each SLEEVE on the cap section, sew a strip of wadding approximately 4 cm wide.
- Cleanly stitch the COLLAR along the outer contour and, taking the open edges together, baste into the neckline.
- Fold the front FACINGS right sides together with the FRONT PANELS and topstitch to the lapels and lapels up to the COLLAR insertion point. Clip the allowance near this point.
- Stitch the BACK neckline FACING to the upper ends of the front FACINGS.
- Place the COLLAR with open edges between the jacket and the front FACINGS with the FACING, the under COLLAR lies on the jacket.
- Stitch the upper COLLAR to the neckline of the front FACINGS and the FACING. Set in the under COLLAR into the jacket neckline.
- Clip the SEAM ALLOWANCES at the curves multiple times. Press the SEAM ALLOWANCES open.
- Turn the front FACINGS and the FACING to the wrong side, press the edges.
- Stitch the SEAM ALLOWANCES of the COLLAR insertion from the inside in the area of the back neckline.
- Turn the front FACINGS forward.
- Turn the hem allowance to the wrong side up to the lapels, sew.
- Turn the front FACINGS again to the wrong side, sew to the hem allowance.
- Stitch the seams on the LINING.
- Stitch the front edges of the LINING right sides together to the front FACINGS, starting and ending the seam about 8cm from the bottom edge.
- Pull the LINING wrong side to wrong side into the jacket.
- Turn under the open edges of the LINING and sew to the hem allowance of the jacket and SLEEVES.
- Sew the remaining open front edges of the LINING to the front FACINGS.
- According to the markings along the right lapel, make buttonholes. Sew on buttons.
