A women's pullover tunic for knit fabric with a double-layer front yoke that closes off-centre with three buttons, a large asymmetric collar and inverted pleats below the front and back yokes.
Silhouette: Loose, slightly widening towards the hem; fullness comes from the pleats under the yokes.
Length: Tunic length, below the hip.
Collar: Wide two-layer collar set into the front yoke and back neckline; it wraps across the neck and its left end is stitched down on the inside.
Front: The front yoke is cut in four pieces and made double. The right yoke overlaps the left and fastens with three buttons on an angled edge. A centre front inverted pleat sits under the yoke.
Sleeves: Long, set in flat before the side seams, which are then stitched in one with the sleeve seams.
Back: Back yoke cut on the fold and an inverted pleat at the centre back below it.
Finishing: 2 cm hems on the body and sleeves, topstitched with a twin needle or a coverstitch machine; seams stitched with a stretch or narrow zigzag stitch, or on an overlocker.
Intermediate. A faced double yoke with an asymmetric overlap, a collar set between yoke layers, and sewing stretch fabric.
For knit fabric: fleece, French terry or firm knit with medium or low stretch, of natural or blended fibres.
If the patterns have a double contour, seam allowances are included. If the contour is single, seam allowances are not included. Seam allowances: hem allowance for garment bottom, sleeve hem – 2 cm, other seams 1 cm. Attention! First, print out the paper patterns and lay them out on the fabric width (fabric width can be from 90 cm to 150 cm) to determine how much material you will need. When stitching pieces, pay attention to the notches - they must match!
Tip: Cut pieces from knit fabrics are stitched with a special elastic or narrow zigzag stitch. The hem allowance is topstitched with a twin needle or on a coverstitch machine to maintain elasticity. You can also stitch pieces directly on a 3- or 4-thread overlocker. Attention! Markings on patterns are made on the right side.
