CUTTER'S MUST
IF THE PATTERNS HAVE A DOUBLE CONTOUR, SEAM ALLOWANCES ARE INCLUDED. IF THE CONTOUR IS SINGLE, THE PATTERNS ARE WITHOUT SEAM ALLOWANCES. SEAM ALLOWANCES: all seams 1 cm; hem allowance for the back hem, outer front part, and sleeve hem – 0 cm; hem allowance for the inner front part hem – 2 cm. ATTENTION! FIRST, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90cm to 150cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED (don't forget to account for paired and symmetrical pieces). WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH! MARKINGS ON THE PATTERNS ARE ON THE RIGHT SIDE!
- From main fabric:
- Back - 1 piece on fold
- Outer front part - 1 piece
- Sleeve - 2 pieces
- From contrast fabric:
- Inner front part – 1 piece on fold
Sewing Instructions
- Fold the outer front piece with the wrong side inwards along the "fold line of the pleat" and stitch along the marked line. Press the pleat, directing the fold towards the left side seam.
- Press the bottom edge of the inner front piece by 1 cm, then another 1 cm, and topstitch.
- Place the outer front piece over the inner piece, secure along the edges, and continue to treat as one piece.
- Stitch the shoulder and side seams, press allowances towards the back and serge.
- Cut a bias binding from the main fabric, 4 cm wide and with a length equal to the neckline length + 5 cm. Fold the bias binding in half lengthwise with the right side out and press. Place the binding with the neckline edge right sides together and stitch. Clip allowances. Fold the binding to the wrong side and topstitch along the fold to the main piece. Press the seam.
- Stitch the sleeve seam, press allowances and serge. Set sleeves into armholes according to notches, press allowances, serge.
- Cut a bias binding from the contrast fabric, 4 cm wide (approximate length is indicated on the sleeve pattern). Fold the binding in half lengthwise with the right side out and press. Then unfold, turn the long edges inwards and press. Bind the bottom edge of the garment and the sleeve hems.
- Sew buttons according to markings on the outer front piece.
