Fabric recommendations: dress fabrics made of natural or blended fibers. YOU WILL ALSO NEED: fusible interfacing, invisible zipper.
CUTTER'S MUST
IF THE PATTERNS HAVE A DOUBLE CONTOUR, THE PATTERNS INCLUDE SEAM ALLOWANCES. IF THE CONTOUR IS SINGLE, THE PATTERNS DO NOT INCLUDE SEAM ALLOWANCES. SEAM ALLOWANCES: hem allowance – 2 cm, armhole allowance for back and front – 1.5 cm, other seams 1 cm. ATTENTION! FIRST, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90 cm to 150 cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED.
- From main fabric:
- Front – 1 piece on fold
- Back – 2 pieces
- Pocket bag – 4 pieces
- Back neckline facing – 2 pieces
- Front neckline facing – 1 piece
- From fusible interfacing:
- Back neckline facing – 2 pieces
- Front neckline facing – 1 piece
Sewing Instructions
WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH!
- Fuse interfacing to facing pieces.
- Finish the center back edges separately. Stitch the center back seam from the zipper mark downwards, press allowances open. Insert the invisible zipper.
- Attach pocket bag pieces to the front, finish allowances and press towards the pocket bag. Stitch the dart on the front, simultaneously stitching the pocket bags. Finish allowances and press towards the center front. Fold and stitch the inverted pleat from the neckline edge to the mark.
- Stitch shoulder seams, press allowances towards the back and finish.
- Finish armhole allowance, press to the wrong side and topstitch.
- Stitch side seams, press allowances towards the back and finish.
- Stitch shoulder seams of facings, press allowances open. Finish the outer edge. Place facings right sides together with the garment and stitch the neckline edge. Clip allowances at curves, turn facings to the wrong side and press. Secure facings to shoulder seams and zipper tape.
- Finish the bottom edge of the garment, press to the wrong side and topstitch.
