Tech. Description

Fabric & Materials

FABRIC RECOMMENDATIONS: low-stretch knit fabric made of natural or blended fibers in contrasting or analogous colors.

CUTTER'S MUST

IF THE PATTERNS HAVE A DOUBLE CONTOUR, THEY INCLUDE SEAM ALLOWANCES. IF THE CONTOUR IS SINGLE, THE PATTERNS DO NOT INCLUDE SEAM ALLOWANCES. SEAM ALLOWANCES: Hem allowance – 2.0 cm, other seams – 1 cm. ATTENTION! FIRST, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90 cm to 150 cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED (don't forget to account for paired and symmetrical pieces). WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH! MARKINGS ON THE PATTERNS ARE ON THE RIGHT SIDE!

  • From main fabric:
    • Left back part - 1 piece
    • Right back part - 1 piece
    • Left front part - 1 piece
    • Right front part - 1 piece
  • From main fabric 1:
    • Lower back part - 1 piece
    • Lower front part - 1 piece

Sewing Instructions

Tip: Knit fabric pieces are stitched with a special elastic or narrow zigzag stitch. When serging, trim seam allowances to 0.8 cm. The hem allowance is topstitched with a twin needle to maintain elasticity. You can also stitch pieces directly on a 3- or 4-thread overlock machine.

  1. Stitch the lower back part to the right back part, press seam allowances upwards and serge. Stitch the back princess seam, press seam allowances towards the side seam and serge.
  2. On the right front part, lay and secure the pleats (depths directed upwards). Stitch the lower front part to the right front part, press seam allowances upwards and serge. Stitch the front princess seam, press seam allowances towards the side seam and serge.
  3. Stitch the right shoulder seam, press seam allowances towards the back and serge.
  4. Cut (if not ready-made) a bias binding 4 cm wide and a length equal to the neckline length + 5 cm. Fold the bias binding in half lengthwise, right side out, and press. Align the binding with the neckline edge on the right side and stitch. Clip seam allowances. Fold the binding to the wrong side and topstitch along the fold to the main piece. Press the seam.
  5. Stitch the left shoulder seam, press seam allowances towards the back and serge.
  6. Cut (if not ready-made) a bias binding 4 cm wide and a length equal to the armhole length + 5 cm. Fold the bias binding in half lengthwise, right side out, and press. Align the binding with the armhole edge on the right side and stitch. Clip seam allowances. Fold the binding to the wrong side and topstitch along the fold to the main piece. Press the seam.
  7. Stitch the side seams, press seam allowances towards the back and serge.
  8. Press the hem of the garment to the wrong side and topstitch.
