Cutter's Must
If the patterns have a double contour, they include seam allowances. If the contour is single, the patterns do not include seam allowances. Seam allowances: all allowances - 1 cm. Attention! First of all, print out the paper patterns and lay them out on the fabric width (fabric width can be from 90 cm to 150 cm) to determine how much material you will need. When stitching pieces, pay attention to the notches - they must match!
- From main fabric:
- Back – 1 piece on fold
- Front — 1 piece
- Front lining — 1 piece
The back lining is cut according to the main pattern piece.
Sewing Instructions
- Stitch darts on the lining pattern piece. Press the dart allowances downwards.
- Stitch the depth of the pleat on the front. Fold and secure the pleat along the marked lines.
- Cut (if not ready-made) a bias binding 4 cm wide and a length equal to the neckline length of the front + 5 cm. Fold the bias binding in half lengthwise, right sides out, and press. Place the binding with the neckline edge on the right side and stitch. Clip the allowances. Fold the binding to the wrong side and topstitch along the fold to the main piece. Press the seam. Similarly, finish the neckline of the front lining.
- Stitch side and shoulder seams, press allowances open. Stitch side and shoulder seams of the lining, leaving an opening in the left side seam, press allowances open.
- Face the back neckline with the lining. Clip the allowances. Turn the lining to the wrong side and press. Face the armhole with the lining in two steps: first the front armhole, then the back armhole. Face the bottom of the blouse with the lining.
- Turn the blouse right side out through the opening, sew up the opening.
