Cutter's Must

If the patterns have a double contour, they include seam allowances. If the contour is single, the patterns do not include seam allowances. Seam allowances: hem allowance - 1.2 cm; other allowances - 1 cm. Attention! First, print out the paper patterns and lay them out on the fabric width (fabric width can range from 90 cm to 150 cm) to determine how much material you will need. When stitching pieces, pay attention to the notches - they must match!

  • From main fabric:
    • Back – 1 piece on fold
    • Front – 1 piece on fold
    • Back sleeve – 2 pieces
    • Front sleeve – 2 pieces

Sewing Instructions

  1. Fold and secure pleats on the front neckline (depths directed towards the center).
  2. Make a slit on the back along the marked line. Cut a bias binding from the main fabric 4 cm wide and a length equal to twice the slit length + 4 cm. Fold the binding in half lengthwise and press. Press the outer allowances towards the center. Finish the slit with bias binding.
  3. Stitch the side and shoulder seams of the blouse, press allowances towards the back and overlock.
  4. Cut a bias strip 3 cm wide and 5 cm long. Fold the strip in half lengthwise and stitch 0.3 cm from the fold. Trim allowances and turn the piece right side out. Adjust the loop length.
  5. Cut (if not ready-made) a bias binding 4 cm wide and a length equal to the neckline length + 5 cm. Fold the bias binding in half lengthwise right side out and press. Place the binding with the neckline edge right side up and stitch. Clip allowances. Fold the binding to the wrong side and topstitch along the fold to the main piece, inserting the loop. Press the seam.
  6. Stitch the sleeve seam, press allowance and overlock. Overlock the lower edge of the sleeve, press to the wrong side and topstitch. Along the upper edge of the sleeve, stitch with a loosely tensioned thread and gather. Place the back sleeve over the front and secure along the upper edge.
  7. Set sleeves into armholes, press allowances and overlock.
  8. Overlock the lower edges of the garment, press to the wrong side and topstitch.
  9. Sew on the button.
