- Back – 1 piece on fold
- Front – 1 piece on fold
- From main fabric-2:
- Back Yoke – 1 piece
- Front Yoke – 1 piece
- Sleeve – 2 pieces
- Strap – 1 piece
Tip: Cut pieces from knit fabrics should be sewn with a special elastic or narrow zigzag stitch. The hem allowance is topstitched with a twin needle or on a coverstitch machine to maintain elasticity. You can also sew the pieces directly on a 3- or 4-thread overlocker.
Sewing Instructions
- Mark and stitch the darts on the front. Press the dart depths upwards. Attach the yoke to the front. Overlock the seams and press them towards the yoke.
- Overlock, fold, and topstitch the back neckline. Overlock, fold, and topstitch the lower edge of the back yoke. Place the back with the yoke, aligning the shoulder seams and armhole seams. Secure the pieces together.
- Stitch the shoulder and side seams, overlock, and press towards the back.
- Stitch the sleeve seam, overlock, and press. Set the sleeves into the armholes. Overlock the seam and press.
- Overlock the lower edge of the garment, the neckline edge, and the lower edge of the sleeve. Fold to the wrong side, press, and topstitch.
- Fold the strap in half lengthwise, right sides together, and stitch. Turn the piece right side out and press. Wrap the strap around the back yoke and stitch the strap into a loop. From the wrong side, attach the strap to the back yoke.
