Sewing Instructions

Tip: Knit fabric pieces are stitched with a special elastic or narrow zigzag stitch. When serging, trim seam allowances to 0.8 cm. The hem allowance is topstitched with a twin needle to maintain elasticity. You can also stitch pieces directly on a 3- or 4-thread overlock machine.

  1. Fuse interfacing to collar pieces.
  2. Stitch the center back seam, press seam allowances to the left side and serge.
  3. Stitch the bust dart on the upper left front part, trim the depth with an overlock. Lay and stitch the pleats on the upper right front part according to the markings (depths are directed towards the side seam).
  4. Stitch shoulder seams, press seam allowances towards the back and serge.
  5. Stitch collar pieces in pairs. Fold the collar right sides together and stitch along the outer edge. Turn the collar right side out, press.
  6. Fold the collar with the wrong side of the blouse and stitch the left part along the neckline edge to the center back, serge seam allowances. Fold the left end to the right side and secure it with the center front edge. Insert the left front part between the right front and the collar and stitch the remaining part of the collar attachment seam from the center back to the waist. Serge seam allowances.
  7. Stitch the upper and lower front parts, press seam allowances downwards and serge.
  8. Serge the sleeve hem, press to the wrong side and topstitch. Set the sleeve into the open armhole, press seam allowances and serge.
  9. Stitch sleeve seams simultaneously with side seams, press seam allowances towards the back and serge.
  10. Serge the garment hem, press to the wrong side and topstitch.
  11. Sew decorative buttons onto the upper right front part.
