Cutter's Must

If the patterns have a double contour, seam allowances are included. If the contour is single, seam allowances are not included. Seam allowances: hem allowance – 2.0 cm; other seams 1 cm. Attention! First, print out the paper patterns and lay them out on the fabric width (fabric width can be from 90 cm to 150 cm) to determine how much material you will need.

  • From main fabric:
    • Back – 1 piece on fold
    • Front – 1 piece on fold

    • Cuff - 2 pieces
    • Back neckline facing – 1 piece
    • Front neckline facing – 1 piece
  • From fusible interfacing:
    • Cuff - 2 pieces

    • Front neckline facing – 1 piece

Sewing Instructions

When stitching pieces, pay attention to the notches - they must match!

  1. Fuse interfacing to the designated pieces.
  2. Stitch bust darts, press seam allowances upwards.
  3. Stitch side and shoulder seams, press seam allowances towards the back and overlock.
  4. Stitch shoulder seams of neckline facings, press seam allowances open. Overlock the outer edge. Place the facing on the garment right sides together and stitch the neckline edge. Clip seam allowances, turn the facing to the wrong side, smooth out, and press. Stitch the facing to the shoulder seam allowances.
  5. Make a slit on the sleeve along the marked line. Cut a bias strip from the main fabric, 4 cm wide and a length equal to twice the slit length + 4 cm. Fold the bias strip in half lengthwise and press. Press the outer seam allowances towards the center. Finish the sleeve slit with the bias strip.
  6. Stitch the sleeve seam, press seam allowances and overlock. Stitch a gathering thread along the upper and lower edges of the sleeve and gather.
  7. Fold the cuff in half lengthwise, right sides together, and stitch the short sides and the step. Start stitching strictly at the marked line for attaching the cuff to the sleeve. At the mark, clip the seam allowances, turn the cuff right side out and press. Attach the outer side of the cuff to the bottom of the sleeve. Turn under the inner side of the cuff and topstitch into the attachment seam.
  8. Set sleeves into armholes, press seam allowances and overlock.
  9. Fold the bottom edge of the garment twice by 1 cm to the inside and topstitch.
  10. Overlock buttonholes on the cuffs. Sew on buttons.
