This versatile knit top is designed for comfort and elegance, making it an ideal choice for:
Silhouette: Fitted through the torso with a defined empire waist, gently flaring from the bust for a flattering contour.
Neckline: a refined stand-up mock turtleneck collar providing both warmth and a sophisticated finish.
Sleeves: Long, two-piece set-in sleeves ensuring a smooth, tailored fit and ease of movement.
Waist: a distinct high empire seam accented with delicate gathering across the front bust, enhancing the silhouette.
Back: Features elegant princess seams from the shoulder to the hem, offering a close and contoured fit.
Length: Finishes at the high hip, suitable for wearing tucked into trousers or skirts, or over them.
Intermediate. Requires confident handling of stretch knit fabrics, accurate seam matching, and precise gathering techniques.
Opt for knit fabrics with medium to high stretch for optimal fit and comfort:
No additional notions are required.
If the patterns have a double contour, seam allowances are included. If the contour is single, the patterns do not include seam allowances. Seam allowances: Hem allowance for the garment bottom and sleeve hem – 1.5 cm, other seams 0.8 cm. Attention! First, print out the paper patterns and lay them out on the fabric width (fabric width can be from 90 cm to 150 cm) to determine how much material you will need.
When stitching pieces, pay attention to the notches - they must match! Tip: Knit fabric pieces are stitched with a special elastic or narrow zigzag stitch. The hem allowance is topstitched with a twin needle or on a coverstitch machine to maintain elasticity. You can also stitch pieces directly on a 3- or 4-thread overlock machine.
