Introducing a women's sewing pattern for a fitted knit top featuring a distinctive overlapping V-neckline that creates a sophisticated draped effect.
This versatile knit top is perfect for a range of occasions, offering comfort and style:
Silhouette: Fitted through the bodice, designed to hug the body for a sleek profile.
Neckline: a distinctive overlapping V-neckline that forms elegant drapes across the bust, creating a sophisticated focal point.
Sleeves: Three-quarter length set-in sleeves, offering coverage that is both practical and chic.
Back: a clean, plain back panel ensures a smooth and uncluttered silhouette.
Length: Finishes at hip length, allowing for versatile styling either tucked in or worn out.
Intermediate. Requires confident handling of knit fabrics and the careful assembly of the draped overlap neckline.
Choose knit fabrics with good stretch and drape to achieve the intended silhouette and neckline:
No additional notions are required.
If the patterns have a double contour, seam allowances are included. If the contour is single, the patterns do not include seam allowances. Seam allowances: Hem allowance for the garment and sleeve hem – 1.5 cm, other seams 0.8 cm. Attention! First, print out the paper patterns and lay them out on the fabric width (fabric width can be from 90 cm to 150 cm) to determine how much material you will need.
Tip: Cut pieces from knit fabrics are stitched with a special elastic or narrow zigzag stitch. The hem allowance is topstitched with a twin needle or on a coverstitch machine to maintain elasticity. You can also stitch pieces directly on a 3- or 4-thread overlocker.
When stitching pieces, pay attention to the notches - they must match!
