Cutter's Must
If the patterns have a double contour, they include seam allowances. If the contour is single, the patterns do not include seam allowances. Seam allowances: Back and front neckline allowance – 1.5 cm; decorative placket short edge allowance – 2 cm; other seams 0.7 cm. Attention! First, print out the paper patterns and lay them out on the fabric width (fabric width can be from 90 cm to 150 cm) to determine how much material you will need. Markings on the patterns are on the right side!

- Back — 1 piece
- Front – 1 piece
- Upper front – 1 piece
- Sleeve – 2 pieces
- Cuff – 2 pieces
- Bottom placket – 1 piece
- Decorative placket – 1 piece
Tip: Cut pieces from knit fabrics are stitched with a special elastic or narrow zigzag stitch. The hem allowance is topstitched with a twin needle or on a coverstitch machine to maintain elasticity. You can also stitch pieces directly on a 3- or 4-thread overlocker.
Sewing Instructions
When stitching pieces, pay attention to the notches - they must match!
- Overlock, press to the wrong side, and topstitch the neckline allowance of the front and upper front.
- Along the bias edge of the front, create even pleats according to the technical drawing, aligning the front edge with the bottom edge of the upper front. Stitch the front and upper front, overlock the allowances.
- Overlock the back neckline allowance. Fold the shoulder edges of the back and front, enclose them with the back neckline allowance, and stitch. Press and overlock the allowances. Turn out the shoulder seams. Topstitch the back neckline allowance.
- Set the sleeves into the open armholes, press and overlock the allowances.
- Fold the decorative placket wrong sides together and stitch the long sides. Turn the placket right side out and press, positioning the seam in the middle of the placket. Overlock the upper short edge.
- Stitch the bottom edge of the sleeve and the side edge in one continuous seam, inserting the bottom edge of the decorative placket into the left side seam. Press the allowances towards the back and overlock. Flip the placket over the neckline, covering the seam joining the front pieces, and secure from the wrong side.
- Stitch the bottom placket into a loop. Turn the placket right side out and press. Fold the placket in half, wrong sides together. Stitch along the bottom edge of the garment with loosely tensioned stitches and gather. Attach the placket to the bottom edge, press and overlock the allowances. The placket seam is located at the left side seam.
- Stitch the cuff into a loop, turn right side out, and press. Fold the cuff in half, wrong sides together. Stitch along the bottom edge of the sleeve with loosely tensioned stitches and gather to the length of the cuff. Attach the cuff to the bottom edge of the sleeve, press the allowances.
