Tech. Description

Fabric & Materials

Fabric recommendations: Medium-stretch knit fabric made from natural or blended fibers. You will also need: 2 buttons.

CUTTER'S MUST

If the patterns have a double contour, they include SEAM ALLOWANCES. If the contour is single, the patterns do not include SEAM ALLOWANCES. SEAM ALLOWANCES: Hem allowance, sleeve hem allowance – 1.5 cm, other seams 0.7 cm. ATTENTION! First, print out the paper patterns and lay them out on the fabric width (fabric width can be from 90 cm to 150 cm) to determine how much material you will need. When stitching pieces, pay attention to the NOTCHES - they must match!

  • From main fabric:
    • Back – 2 pieces
    • Front – 1 piece on fold
    • Sleeve – 2 pieces
    • Collar – 2 pieces
    • Strap – 2 pieces

Tip: Cut pieces from knit fabrics are stitched with a special elastic or narrow zigzag stitch. The hem allowance is topstitched with a twin needle or on a coverstitch machine to maintain elasticity. You can also stitch pieces directly on a 3- or 4-thread overlocker.

Sewing Instructions

  1. Mark and stitch darts on the front. Trim the dart excess with an overlocker. Stitch the center back seam. Press the seam to the left side.
  2. Stitch the side seams, overcast the allowances, and press them towards the back.
  3. Overcast the lower sleeve allowance, fold it inwards, and topstitch. Attach the sleeves to the back and front. Overcast the armhole edges completely and press towards the back and front. Fold the lower armhole edge inwards and topstitch.
  4. Fold the strap in half lengthwise, right sides together, and stitch along the long and one short edge. Turn the strap right side out and press.
  5. Fold the collar pieces right sides together and stitch along the outer edge and two short sides. Turn the collar right side out and press. Attach the collar to the neckline, simultaneously attaching the strap according to the markings. Overcast the allowance and direct it towards the neckline. Topstitch along the neckline 0.5 cm from the collar attachment seam.
  6. Wrap the strap around the collar and sew a button to the front, securing the strap.
  7. Overcast the lower edge of the garment. Fold to the wrong side, press, and topstitch.
