Introducing a women's sewing pattern for a relaxed-fit dress featuring a distinctive keyhole neckline, softly gathered dolman sleeves, and an optional tie waist.
This versatile dress offers a blend of comfort and style, making it suitable for:
Silhouette: a relaxed, straight-cut silhouette that falls gently to the knee, designed to be cinched at the waist by a separate belt.
Neckline: a graceful V-neckline opening into a small keyhole at the center front, finished with subtle gathering along the neckline.
Sleeves: Voluminous dolman sleeves, gathered at the cuffs to create a soft, balloon-like effect, ending around the elbow.
Waist: Defined by a separate, self-fabric tie belt, providing an adjustable and flattering waistline.
Length: a comfortable, above-the-knee length, offering ease of movement.
Back: a simple, clean back with a gently gathered neckline, mirroring the relaxed drape of the front.
Intermediate. Requires skills in precise fabric gathering, applying bias binding for finishing curved edges and keyholes, and standard garment construction techniques.
Choose lightweight, fluid fabrics with good drape to best enhance the gathered details and relaxed silhouette:
No additional notions are required.
If the patterns have a double contour, they include seam allowances. If the contour is single, the patterns do not include seam allowances. Seam allowances: hem allowance – 3 cm, shoulder and side seams – 1 cm, other seams 0 cm. Attention! First, print out the paper patterns and lay them out on the fabric width (fabric width can be from 90 cm to 150 cm) to determine how much material you will need. When stitching pieces, pay attention to the notches - they must match!
