Fabric recommendations: dense skirt fabrics made from natural or blended fibers. ALSO NEEDED: fusible interfacing; concealed zipper.

IF THE PATTERNS HAVE A DOUBLE CONTOUR, THEY INCLUDE SEAM ALLOWANCES. IF THE CONTOUR IS SINGLE, THE PATTERNS DO NOT INCLUDE SEAM ALLOWANCES. SEAM ALLOWANCES: all seams 1 cm. Hem allowance 2 cm, lower edges of insert - 2 cm. ATTENTION! FIRST OF ALL, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90cm to 150cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED. WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH! Attention! Markings on the patterns are made on the right side.

• From fusible interfacing:
  • Back facing – 2 pieces
  • Front facing – 1 piece

Sewing Instructions

1. Reinforce facings with fusible interfacing.
2. Serge the center back edges separately. Stitch the seam from the zipper mark to the bottom. Press seam allowances open. Insert the concealed zipper.
3. Stitch and serge the side seams, press seam allowances towards the back.
4. Attach the insert to the skirt. Serge the allowance and press it towards the insert. Topstitch along the seam at 0.5 cm for decorative and securing purposes.
5. Stitch the side seams of the facings, press seam allowances open. Serge the lower edge. Place the facing on the skirt with right sides together and stitch the upper edge. Topstitch the allowances to the facing at a distance of 0.2 cm from the stitching line. Fold the facing to the wrong side, press. Secure the facing at the side seams and the zipper tape.
6. Serge the lower edge of the skirt, simultaneously with the lower edges of the insert, press to the wrong side and topstitch.
