Fabric recommendations: skirt fabrics made of natural or blended fibers in two contrasting or related colors. YOU ALSO NEED: fusible interfacing, 1 concealed zipper.

CUTTER'S MUST

IF THE PATTERNS HAVE A DOUBLE CONTOUR, THEY INCLUDE SEAM ALLOWANCES. IF THE CONTOUR IS SINGLE, THE PATTERNS DO NOT INCLUDE SEAM ALLOWANCES. SEAM ALLOWANCES: all seams 1 cm. Hem allowance – 2 cm. ATTENTION! FIRST OF ALL, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90 cm to 150 cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED. WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH! ATTENTION! Markings on the patterns are made on the right side.

  • From main fabric:
    • Back panel – 1 piece
    • Front panel – 1 piece
    • Back facing – 2 pieces
    • Front facing - 2 pieces
  • From main fabric1:
    • Lower front panel – 1 piece
    • Lower back panel – 1 piece
  • From fusible interfacing:
    • Back facing – 1 piece
    • Front facing - 1 piece

Sewing Instructions

  1. Reinforce details with fusible interfacing.
  2. Stitch the front facing to the front panel, press seam allowances towards the facing. Stitch the lower panel to the front panel, press seam allowances upwards and overcast.
  3. Stitch the back facing to the back panel, press seam allowances towards the facing. Stitch the lower panel to the back panel, press seam allowances upwards and overcast.
  4. Overcast the left side seams separately. Stitch the left side seam, from the zipper mark to the bottom. Insert the zipper.
  5. Stitch the right side seam, press seam allowances towards the back and overcast.
  6. Stitch the side seams of the inner facings, press seam allowances open, overcast the lower edge. Place the facing and the skirt right sides together and stitch the upper edge. Clip seam allowances, turn the facing to the wrong side and press. Hand stitch the side edges of the facings to the zipper tape. Topstitch the facing into the seam of the outer facing attachment.
  7. Overcast the lower edge of the garment, press to the wrong side and topstitch.
