Fabric recommendations: thin suiting fabrics made from natural or blended fibers. YOU WILL ALSO NEED: lining fabric; fusible interfacing; 1 button; invisible zipper; buckle; eyelets. IF THE PATTERNS HAVE A DOUBLE CONTOUR, SEAM ALLOWANCES ARE INCLUDED. IF THE CONTOUR IS SINGLE, SEAM ALLOWANCES ARE NOT INCLUDED. SEAM ALLOWANCES: all seams 1 cm. Hem allowance – 2 cm. ATTENTION! FIRST, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90cm to 150cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED.

- From main fabric:
- Back yoke – 2 pieces
- Back panel – 2 pieces
- Front yoke – 2 pieces
- Front panel – 2 pieces
- Waistband – 1 piece
- Welt – 2 pieces
- Decorative belt – 1 piece on fold
- Belt loop – 1 piece
- From lining fabric:
- Large pocket bag – 2 pieces
- Small pocket bag – 2 pieces
- From fusible interfacing:
- Waistband – 1 piece
- Welt – 2 pieces
- Decorative belt – 1 piece on fold
Sewing Instructions
- Interface the pieces with fusible interfacing.
- Stitch the back panel to the yoke, press seam allowances upwards, overcast. Topstitch a double decorative stitch along the seam at 0.1 cm and 0.7 cm. Stitch the center seam of the back panel, press seam allowances to the left side and overcast. Topstitch a double decorative stitch along the seam at 0.1 cm and 0.7 cm.
- Mark the pocket placement on the front yokes. Press the welt in half lengthwise, wrong sides together. Stitch the small pocket bag to the inner side of the welt. Stitch the welt to the yoke along the lower pocket marking line. Stitch the large pocket bag to the yoke along the upper pocket marking line. End the stitching at the short marking lines. Cut the pocket opening. At a distance of 1-1.5 cm from the end of the pocket, make diagonal cuts. Turn the welt and large pocket bag to the wrong side through the opening. Secure the pocket ends from the wrong side with a double backstitch at the base of the corners. Stitch the pocket bag edges, overcast.
- Stitch the front panel to the yoke, press seam allowances upwards, overcast. Topstitch a double decorative stitch along the seam at 0.1 cm and 0.7 cm. Stitch the center seam of the front panel, press seam allowances to the left side and overcast. Topstitch a double decorative stitch along the seam at 0.1 cm and 0.7 cm.
- Overcast the left side edges separately. Stitch the left side seam from the notch for the zipper to the bottom. Press seam allowances open. Insert the invisible zipper. Stitch the right side seam, press seam allowances towards the back and overcast.
- Fold the belt loop in half lengthwise, right sides together, and stitch along the long side. Then turn right side out, straighten the seam, positioning it at the fold, and press. Cut the belt loops to size, mark the placement of the belt loops. Stitch the belt loops according to the markings and above the side seams to the upper edge of the skirt.
- Fold the waistband in half lengthwise, right sides together, and stitch the short side and the extension. Start stitching strictly at the marked line for attaching the waistband to the skirt. At the mark, clip the seam allowances, turn the waistband right side out and press. Stitch the outer side of the waistband to the upper edge, turn under the inner side and topstitch into the attachment seam. Topstitch the belt loops to the upper edge of the waistband.
- Overcast the hem allowance, press to the wrong side and topstitch.
- Make a buttonhole on the waistband. Sew on the button.
- Fold the decorative belt piece in half lengthwise, right sides together, and stitch along the long and short sides. Trim the seam allowances at the corners, turn the belt right side out and press. Overcast the short side. Topstitch a decorative stitch along the contour at 0.1 cm and 0.7 cm from the edge. Secure the buckle to the end of the belt. Punch eyelets.
