Cutter's Must
If the patterns have a double contour, seam allowances are included. If the contour is single, seam allowances are not included. Seam allowances: all seams 1 cm. Hem allowance – 1.5 cm. Attention! First, print out the paper patterns and lay them out on the fabric width (fabric width can be from 90 cm to 150 cm) to determine how much material you will need. When stitching pieces, pay attention to the notches - they must match!
- From main fabric:
- Back – 2 pieces
- Front – 1 piece on fold
- Front yoke - 2 pieces
- Back yoke – 4 pieces
- From fusible interfacing:
- Back yoke – 2 pieces
- Front yoke - 1 piece
Sewing Instructions
- Fuse interfacing to the designated pieces.
- Form and secure the pleats on the back skirt (pleat depths facing the side seam). Stitch the back yoke to the back, press seam allowances upwards.
- Serge the center edges of the back separately on each piece. Stitch the center seam from the zipper mark to the hem. Press seam allowances open. Insert the zipper.
- Form and secure the pleats on the front skirt (pleat depths facing the side seams). Stitch the front yoke to the front, press seam allowances upwards.
- Stitch the side seams, press seam allowances towards the back and serge.
- Stitch the side seams of the inner yokes, press seam allowances open. Serge the bottom edge. Place the yoke and skirt right sides together and stitch the top edge. Topstitch the seam allowances to the yoke 0.2 cm from the stitching line. Fold the yoke to the wrong side, press. Fold the center edges and sew to the zipper tape. Topstitch the yoke into the seam of the outer yoke attachment.
- Serge the bottom edge of the garment, press to the wrong side and topstitch.
- Sew decorative buttons onto the front yoke.
