Cutter's Must

If the patterns have a double contour, seam allowances are included. If the contour is single, seam allowances are not included. Seam allowances: all seams 1 cm. Hem allowance – 2 cm. Attention! First, print out the paper patterns and lay them out on the fabric width (fabric width can be from 90cm to 150cm) to determine how much material you will need and if the skirt will fit the width. Attention! Markings on the patterns are made on the right side.

  • From main fabric:
    • Back – 1 piece
    • Upper front – 1 piece
    • Lower front – 1 piece
    • Waistband – 1 piece
  • From fusible interlining:
    • Waistband – 1 piece

Sewing Instructions

When stitching pieces, pay attention to the notches - they must match!

  1. Reinforce the waistband with fusible interlining.
  2. Stitch the darts on the upper front and back panels. Press the dart folds towards the center.
  3. Along the upper edge of the lower front, sew a gathering stitch with loosened upper thread and gather. Start the stitch from the right side seam to the mark. Stitch the upper and lower parts together. Overlock the seam allowance and press it upwards.
  4. Overlock the left side edges separately. Stitch the left side seam from the notch for the zipper to the bottom. Press the seam allowances open. Insert the concealed zipper. Stitch the right side edge. Overlock the seam allowances and press them towards the back.
  5. Fold the waistband in half lengthwise, right sides together, and stitch the short side and the extension. Start the stitch strictly at the marked line for attaching the waistband to the skirt. At the mark, clip the seam allowances, turn the waistband right side out, and press. Attach the outer side of the waistband to the upper edge, turn under the inner side and topstitch into the attachment seam.
  6. Overlock the hem allowance, press it to the wrong side, and topstitch.
  7. Make a buttonhole on the waistband. Sew on the button.
